I am Rose, Sister to Macey and Graduate of UCF, with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Minor in Non Profit Management. While in college I did 2 years internship with JDRF. I am now a Recording Technician in Orlando, Fl..
My sister has been living with Type 1 diabetes almost all of her life, it not only effects the Type 1, it also effects the entire family.
Our family has been attending Children with Diabetes Friends for Life Conference since 2004. While being part of the teen group, I found it was not only for the Type 1’s but support for siblings of Type 1’s, which I feel is invaluable.
I’ve been helping to volunteer with all of our Macey’s Believers fundraising since the beginning and proud that we are now an incorporated non profit, which supports T1D’s and their families.
