Hi, I'm Reid a graduate of East Carolina University (Go Pirates!), a Building Contractor, owner of Gaskins Construction, Inc. and most importantly dad to Rose and Macey. Macey was diagnosed at 13 months old, and is now a teenager. Since her diagnosis, my family and I have been heavily involved in raising funds for research for a cure for Type One Diabetes
When Macey was diagnosed there was not much of a support group in our area. Although each family must determine what works best for them one of our goals is to provide a supportive community for Type One families.
Macey's Believers started as a JDRF walk team and is now it's own 501 C 3 corporation. Still supporting research for a cure.
With first hand experience of what families of Type 1's have to deal with on a daily basis. I am proud to be part of an organization, which is striving to support families dealing with Type One diabetes.
