I am very excited to be part of this excellent organization. My son Jake was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes four years ago, Macey’s Believers was our life line after we left the hospital, I will always be appreciative of the love and support we received by the most caring families that are part of Macey’s Believers. I knew in the moment I was hugged and welcomed to a family no one really wants to be part of, that my calling would be to help other families dealing with the same diagnosis. The Children With Diabetes, Friends for Life Conference is the most impactful, educational, and inspiriting week long conference a T1 family can experience, and I’m happy to be part of the love and care that goes into our scholarship program.
I look forward to our continued outreach and gatherings in support of all Type 1’s and their families and most of all, I look forward to when we can have our final dance and celebrate a cure!
